On January 12, 2019, the 1st commonweal program of the IP industry the Sunshine Intellectual Property Rights Practitioners Fund was founded on the 9th China IP Annual Forum & 2019 Annual Conference of In-house IP Managers in China. Liu Chuntian, president of China Intellectual Property Law Association, Lin Guanghai, deputy chief judge of Civil Adjudication Tribunal No.3 (IPR Division), SPC, Su Chi, president of Beijing Intellectual Property Law Association, Kong Xiangjun, president of Intellectual Property Competitive Center of SJTU, Huang Yong, director of Competition Law Research Centre of the University of International Business and Economics & Member of Expert Advisory Group of Anti-monopoly Committee of the State Council and Lyu Guoliang, former deputy director of China Region of the WIPO attended the fund establish ceremony. The Sunshine Intellectual Property Rights Practitioners Fund is a commonweal activity launched by the China IP Magazine and the Beijing Sunshine Intellectual Property and Legal Development Foundation on December 12, 2018, aiming at helping IP practitioners suffering from diseases.
 
On the ceremony, president Liu Chuntian highly praised the establishment of the Sunshine Intellectual Property Rights Practitioners fund, recognizing its “strength and warm inside the industry community”. It helps every member benefited from the real industry community, especially when they are facing danger. Deputy chief judge Lin Guanghai, described the spreading love of the industry as a poem that “the duty we IP practitioners insist on is to add the oil of interests to the fire of talents, and the reason we IP practitioners come together is to help the intellectuals out of problems. Salute to the Sunshine Intellectual Property Rights Practitioners fund, which helps people spread selfless love and find hopeful paths for those lost. It’s the warmest sunshine of mercy.”

5. The first group of companies and individuals who donated to the fund were awarded.
 
Professor Huang Yong was deeply touched by the “passing of love” of the fund and generously donated 10,000 Yuan on the conference.
After the speech section, president Liu Chuntian and deputy chief judge Lin Guanghai issued certificates of honor to the first group of companies and individuals who donated to the fund. Representatives from the China IP Magazine, Sanyou IP Group, Kangxin Intellectual Property Attorneys, Weiheng Law Firm and Mr. Yang Wu from Liushen & Associates were awarded.
 
Introduction of the Sunshine Intellectual Property Rights Practitioners Fund
Vice Secretary General of the Beijing Sunshine Intellectual Property and Legal Development Foundation, Chen Xiankai, delivered a speech on the ceremony. He introduced the Sunshine Intellectual Property Rights Practitions’ launch process, relative procedures and examination requirements.
 
Proposed by Li Xue, deputy chief editor & editorial director of the China IP Magazine, the Sunshine Intellectual Property Rights Practitioners Fund as an affiliated fund program of the Beijing Sunshine Intellectual Property and Legal Development Foundation, was jointly initiated by the foundation and the China IP Magazine, aiming at helping those IP practitioners suffering from serious diseases.
 
As a charity offering foundation, the Sunshine Intellectual Property Rights Practitioners Fund is designed to help those IP practitioners suffering from serious diseases. Up to now, the sponsoring targets cover teachers, scholars, judges, lawyers, inspectors and professional agents. The requirement for application is that the applier must have serious diseases whose entities and prices refer to relative regulations of the social insurance. Each cost used by the fund will be publicized and paid straightly to the normal medical institutions where the appliers are treated to relieve the relative costs of the appliers.
 
Since the establishment, the Sunshine Intellectual Property Rights Practitioners Fund is generously donated by several IP institutions and individuals including the China IP Magazine, Sanyou IP Group, Kangxin Intellectual Property Attorneys, Weiheng Law Firm and Mr. Yang Wu from Liushen & Associates. The purpose of the Sunshine Intellectual Property Rights Practitioners Fund is to contribute help to more IP practitioners suffering from serious diseases and make the industry community more powerful and warmer.
