2018/09/04

On  August 20, Director Shen Changyu of the State Intellectual Property Office of  China (SIPO) met with a delegation led by Director Mnanta Komi Lamatetou of the  National Institute for Industrial Property and Technology of the Republic of  Togo (INPIT). Shen Changyu introduced to the delegation China’s IPR policies and  systems. He remarked that China enjoyed deep traditional friendship with Togo;  particularly, the economic and trade cooperation as well as scientific and  cultural exchanges between two countries became increasingly close in recent  years, in which IPR played a significant supporting role. Chinese government  always paid high attention to IPR, and made several important decisions and  deployments in recent years, bringing broad prospects to Sino-Togo cooperation  in the field of IPR. SIPO hoped to strengthen its communication and exchanges,  enrich and improve its cooperation with INPIT. Mnanta Komi Lamatetou remarked  that the Republic of Togo was an old friend of China, and two countries  maintained friendly cooperative relations in aspects of economy, science and  technology, as well as culture. As a member state of African Intellectual  Property Organization (OAPI), Togo established sound cooperation relationship  with China under the framework of OAPI. INPIT hoped to further deepen its  cooperation with China under frameworks including OAPI, and share experiences  with China on topics of common concern, so as to promote mutual  development.
