A number of 24 business trademark registration services have been offered in the service halls of the Municipal Administration of Industry and Commerce of Changchun. Entrepreneurs and private business owners can be spared the trouble of running errands out of town when it comes to trademark registration. Changchun was designated as the first city to be empowered to authorize basic trademark applications and registrations in Jilin province. Since the project was first launched in 2017, the capital city of Jilin has offered consulting and registration services to more than 5,000 citizens, taking the lead among other cities of the northeastern province. As part of the province’s scheme to streamline its government system and decentralize the provincial power to local governments at all levels, the project will be further implemented across the province by the newly established Department of Market Supervision and Management of Jilin Province.
