On December 4, the People’s Mediation Committee on IPR Disputes of Hubei (or"the Mediation Committee")was founded in Wuhan and the first training session of capacity building was therefore held. Chen Wengui, Deputy Head of Justice Department of Hubei attended the session and delivered remarks. Peng Quan, Member of Party Leadership Group of Hubei Administration for Market Regulation and Secretary of Party Leadership Group and Head of Hubei IP Office also attended and addressed the session. Guided by Hubei Justice Department and Hubei IP Office, the Mediation Committee is set up by Hubei IP Development Center, with an aim to further explore a diversified IPR dispute resolution mechanism, build up an overall IPR protection layout, improve the provincial capabilities of rule-of-law social governance and governance modernization in terms of IPR protection. Over 50 officials and staff in charge attended the training, including representatives from Hubei Justice Department, Hubei IP Office, Hubei IP Development Center, Hongshan District Justice Bureau and the provincial sub-centers for IPR protection and assistance as well as members, mediators and expert members of the Mediation Committee.
