Heads of China and Finland Witnessed the Signing of IP Cooperation Document

A few days ago, witnessed by President Xi Jinping of China and President Sauli Niinistö of Finland, the Supplemental Agreement for Bilateral Memorandum of Understanding between China National Intellectual Property Administration (CNIPA) and Finnish Patent and Registration Office (PRH) was formally signed in Beijing. Commissioner Shen Changyu of CNIPA and Finnish Minister for Foreign Trade and Development Anne-Mari Virolainen signed the agreement on behalf of the two offices. Signing of the agreement marks that the Sino-Finnish IP cooperation has reached a new stage. CNIPA and PRH has maintained great cooperation all the time, and conducted fruitful and practical cooperation in fields of legal policy communication, Patent Prosecution Highway and exchanges of examiners in recent years. Signing of the supplemental agreement clarifies the direction of cooperation of the two offices in trademark and patent, and further lays solid foundation for the deepening of cooperation between the two offices.
