Prosecutors Approved 5,000 Arrests in 2018

Chinese prosecutors sued more than 8,000 people in intellectual property cases and approved the arrest of more than 5,000 suspects of IP crimes in 2018, Zheng Xinjian, a senior official from the Supreme People's Procuratorate, said on Friday. In 2014, Chinese prosecutors began an operation targeting crimes against food and drug safety.
