2019/10/22

An IPRs protection center was officially unveiled in Shenyang, capital city of Northeast China’s Liaoning province, on October 17, according to local officials.

On June 26 and August 1 this year, the protection center got the green light from the Liaoning IPO and the CNIPA. It is the first IPR protection center in Northeast China, officials said.

Shi Fengyou, director of the Liaoning Administration for Market Regulation, said at the unveiling ceremony that the establishment of the center is Shenyang’s response to the country’s initiatives towards protecting IPRs.

At the unveiling ceremony, three companies -- Liaoning Zhuanglong unmanned aerial vehicle company, Shenyang HIT (Harbin Institute of Technology) specialized robot company, and Shneyang Huatie special-shape materials company -- received notification of patents authorization.

According to officials, in about two months of trial operations, the center finished filing for 198 companies, and accepted 71 patent pre-examination applications.

They said the center will provide high-quality IPR services for companies and help them enhance their innovation capabilities, as well as help Shenyang build a first-class business environment.
