Non-commercial use for the Logo of the National Day

On August 31, rules on the logo of the National Day Celebration were formally issued. According to the rules, any organization or individual should not use the logo for commercial purposes, including that of potential kind, without the authorization by Beijing Organizing Committee for the Celebration of the National Day or specified departments. The logo is designed by an entity commissioned by Beijing Organizing Committee and the copyright of the logo is owned by the organizing committee according to the agreement between the two parties.

Departments could use the logo in the stated range after approved by Beijing Organizing Committee for the Celebration of the National Day and must guarantee the integrity and accuracy of the logo. The logo could be mainly used on facilities, equipments, properties and articles for use, and souvenirs, and in news reports or for all kinds of certificates, invitations and tickets. Recently, the application examining and approving process has already been in use.
