Zhangjiagang’s intellectual property pledge financing amount has been greatly increased; through innovative brand protection models, intellectual property rights has been vigorously promoted. According to Sun Yuezhong, deputy director of the Intellectual Property Office of Zhangjiagang, Jiangsu Province, said that from January to November 2020, Zhangjiagang has newly authorized 9,148 patents, an increase of 76.06% year-on-year, and the average maintenance period of invention patents increased from 6.4 years to 6.9 years; from January to November 2020, there were 67 newly added Madrid international registered trademarks, bringing the total to 218; as of the end of 2020, Zhangjiagang’s valid registered trademarks reached 32,122.
In recent years, the Zhangjiagang City Intellectual Property Office has been vigorously cultivating geographical indication trademark brands, guiding local farmers to develop agriculture branding to rich farmers, and revitalizing the countryside, which has achieved gratifying results. As a shared brand of local peach farmers in Fenghuang Town, Zhangjiagang City, after years of brand maintenance, the sales of "Phoenix Peach" brand products have been increased.
