Beijing to make regulations to protect time-honored brands

It is learnt from Beijing Municipal Commission of Commerce and Beijing Traditional Brands Association that to protect time-honored brands, Beijing has kicked off legislation investigation and planned to protect the ownership of time-honored enterprises to their traditional crafts in form of governmental regulations.
The lawmaking this time will cover protection to the intellectual property rights, inheriting and operation of time-honored enterprises. Meanwhile, the government will reward those that achieved prominent achievements in inheriting and innovation. Besides, the regulation to be made will also treat inheritors differently.
