On the morning of June 23, the 10th China Patent and Hi-tech Products Expo was opened in Qufu. Former Vice-Chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference Zhang Huaixi announced the opening of the expo. Director of State Intellectual Property Office (SIPO) Tian Lipu and other related departments' leaders were present at the opening ceremony.

The expo was co-sponsored by SIPO, the Chinese Academy of Engineering, the Chinese Academy of Sciences and Shandong Provincial Government, and undertaken by China Patent Information Center, Provincial S&T Department, Provincial IP Office and Qufu Municipal People's Government. And the theme of the expo is "innovation, cooperation and development", which aims at combining the innovative resources, constructing the exhibition and trade of patent and high technologies, integration of production, teaching and research, talent introduction and platform of S&T financing, accelerating the industrialization of hi-tech industries, and boosting the transform of technical innovation, patent technologies and S&T achievements to production.
