[Guangdong] Independent Intellectual Property Rights is the Key to Winning the Top 100 Selection

Recently, co-organized by Guangdong Science and Technology Department, the Economic & Information Commission of Guangdong Province, the Top 100 Selection was held to enhance innovative abilities and promote the transformation of economic development in Guangdong. Enterprises had to possess certain proprietary intellectual property to be considered for selection. Qualification of the attended companies included the following factors: being leading enterprises in new high-tech industry and advanced manufacturing industry and modern service industry; they needed to be registered in Guangdong for at least 3 years, with the sales revenue of no less than 100 million Yuan in the first half year; all the attended were supposed to possess proprietary IP and at least one patent for an invention related to their principle products in the last 3 years, or at least 6 patent rights for utility models and software copyrights related to their principle products; the intellectual property had to be proprietary  and the patentee or the copyright owner had to be the company itself.
