On November 11, China Jilin Literature and History Press and Beijing Zhengqing Culture and Arts Co., Ltd. held a press conference in Beijing, announcing the Chinese version of "Men are from Mars, Women are from Venus" published by China Jilin Literature and History Press is only simplified Chinese version authorized by the American writer John Gray. Moreover, Jilin Literature and History Press has filed copyright lawsuit against Huawen Press for the publishing of "Men are from Mars, Women are from Venus ? Whole Collection". The litigation sum would be one million yuan, which is so far the highest in China.

　　Lawyer of Jilin Literature and History Press Luo Kangyong explained: "the high value of this litigation is the add-up of two parts. One part is the royalties that should be paid to John Gray, and the other is the illegal gains by the infringer. The illegal gains shall be calculated based on amount of counterfeiting books. Since the plaintiff fails to get in touch with the principal of the infringer, and the book "Men are from Mars, Women are from Venus ? Whole Collection" does not indicate its publishing amount, the amount would be calculated as ten thousand.
