Significant growth of patent grants and applications in Anhui

Statistics from provincial Intellectual Property Bureau show that in 2010, patent grants in Anhui are 16,012, ranking the twelfth nationwide, and increasing by 86.3%, ranking the first in China. Among them, granted patents for inventions are 1,111, ranking the seventeenth nationwide.

In 2010, patent applications of Anhui are 37,780, ranking the seventh nationwide; growing by 130.6%, ranking the first in China. Among them, patent applications for inventions are 6,396, ranking the fourteenth nationwide. Patent applications of Hefei, Wuhu and Bengbu are 14,459, 7,720 and 2,291 respectively, taking the leading places in Anhui Province. Patent applications of Chizhou, Hefei and Fuyang grow at breakneck speed. Anhui Province has achieved 182.8% of the set target on patent grants and applications.
