The American Chamber of Commerce speaks out on IPR issues

2011/02/17

The American Chamber of Commerce in Shanghai recently declared that it will help protect its members' intellectual property rights in China in 2011 and support the Chinese government in imposing policies protecting independent innovation.

Brenda Foster, president of the chamber, said that as one of the fastest-developing countries in the world and America's third-biggest trading partner, China is becoming more and more important to American companies. "More export trading will create more job opportunities in the US while providing Chinese consumers with a greater variety of choices," she said.
