2011/08/18

In a bid to track the progress of the utilization and industrialization of patents and promote the implementation and transformation of patented technologies, Inner Mongolian Autonomous Region IPR service center conducted a survey of the patent status quo in the region.

The survey shows that as of December 2010, Inner Mongolia has owned 404 invention patents and 1,043 patents for utility model, covering 280 enterprises, 13 colleges and universities and 44 research institutes.

The center has taken back 142 questionnaires (accounting for 70.2% of the total amount) from 120 enterprises, 6 colleges and universities and 16 research institutes, involving 297 invention patents and 718 patents for utility model.

The survey allows the service center to effectively check the capability of creation and implementation of patented technologies of local industries and helps relevant departments to analyze the factors hampering patent implementation and make better recommendations on patent development.
