Lv also put forward proposals concerning IP development and protection for the next period that relevant departments should formulate and implement new IP strategic outlines, enhance IP protection and utilization in emerging and cultural industries, explore modifications of current IP systems, establish IP long-term mechanisms, promote international communication and cooperation on IP protection.

IP experts believed that Shanghai should make efforts to further increase IP quality, focus on IP transformation and utilization, step up IP protection, and guide enterprises to use their IP rights to compete in domestic and foreign markets.

Over 30 representatives from Shanghai governmental departments, businesses, academies, and industry associations participated in the symposium.
