Hubei: Jingzhou newly received 1,542 trademark applications

According to statistics from Jingzhou Municipal Administration for Industry and Commerce, in 2011, trademark applications and registrations in the city reached 1,542 and 846 respectively, ranking the first across Hubei province.

In recent years, the Administration has robustly enforced trademark strategies, achieving remarkable progress.

As of now, the city has owned 5 China Well-known Trademarks, 45 Hubei Famous Trademarks, 82 Jingzhou Notable Trademarks and one geographical indication trademark.

In addition, the total number of trademarks in the city has amounted to 5,329.

Pursuant to the city's Twelfth Five-Year Plan on trademarks, by 2015, the city will have owned 15 China Well-known Trademarks, 100 Hubei Famous Trademarks, 300 Jingzhou Notable Trademarks, 8 geographical indication trademarks, 20 collective trademarks, and a total of 8,000 valid trademarks.
