As of the late November 2011, public securities in Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region had uncovered 270 IPR infringement and counterfeiting cases, valued at 476 million yuan.

Since the launch of the special campaign in October 2010, Xinjiang public securities have focused to crack down on cases involved with selling fake seeds, agricultural chemicals, fertilizers and shoddy foods, drugs and cosmetics of everyday use as well as infringing IPR of renowned enterprises.

Particularly, the public securities captured 492 suspects, destroyed 136 illegal spots, and dismantled 26 criminal gangs. Among the cases uncovered, there were 7 cases each valued at more than 5 million yuan and 33 cases each valued at 1 million yuan.

The special campaign ensured a decline in IPR infringement and counterfeiting cases. Xinjiang public securities will make more efforts to create a healthy, safe and standard market.
