SIPO Commissioner met with JETRO Delegation

Commissioner of China's State Intellectual Property Office (SIPO) Tian Lipu on February 17 met with a delegation from Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO), led by its chairman Hiroyuki Ishige. The two parties exchanged opinions on Sino-Japan collaboration in IPR-related issues.

According to Tian, the partnership between China and Japan in IPR field greatly has propelled mutual economic and trade cooperation, which is an important element in the bilateral relationship. China has been dedicated to the improvement of its IPR systems and aiming to provide more convenient and efficient service to enterprises from both countries. Taking the opportunity of the 40th anniversary of the normalization of diplomatic relations, China is willing to strengthen the cooperation with Japan and further contribute to global innovation. Tian also briefly introduced the latest development of IPR protection in China. 

Hiroyuki Ishige applauded China's IPR achievements and the improvement of China's investment environment. He also expressed the desire to continue the partnership with SIPO in an effective and concrete way.

JETRO is an agency dedicated to trade and investment promotion, which has been playing an active role in enhancing Sino-Japan trade relationship. This was Hiroyuki Ishige's first to SIPO since he took office as JETRO Chairman.
