Training for developing countries comes to full stop

On April 18, 2012 Developing Country IPR Training (in Spring) Class hosted by the State Intellectual Property Office (SIPO) came to a full stop in Chongqing City. SIPO Deputy Director Li Yuguang attended the graduation ceremony and awarded course-completion certificates to 24 representatives from 8 developing countries inclusive of Cambodia, Costarica, Cuba, Egypt, Ethiopia, Mongolia, Pakistan and Thailand.

Li Yuguang addressed that as the biggest developing country in the world, China faces many common challenges with other developing countries, especially in IPR fields. China will take this training class as an opportunity to further enhance communications and cooperation with other developing countries in IPR field.

The participants thought highly of this training class. They expressed that the training courses are reasonable and rich in content, which is helpful to better understand China’s IPR system and enhance view exchanges and friendship with the IPR competent authorities of each country.

The two-week-long IPR training class is the first trans-regional one hosted by SIPO for developing countries. The training, undertaken by China IPR Training Center, Chongqing Municipal IP Office and Chongqing University of Science and Technology, was conducted in Beijing and Chongqing in different time. Director General of Chongqing Municipal IP Office Yuan Jie and Party Secretary of Chongqing University of Science and Technology Zhu Xincai took part in the graduation ceremony.
