Lately, the first China (Beijing) International Fair for Trade in Services (CIFTIS) came to a full stop and IPR protection became the spotlight of this fair.

IPR work in CIFTIS took on the following characteristics, i.e. IPR protection attracted the attention of foreign exhibitors and visitors, the measures including IPR training conducted before the opening of CIFTIS and IPR letter of commitment signed by exhibitors effectively prevented the happening of disputes, and the exhibitors, particularly foreigners, especially concerned the IPR issues.

The IPR Protection Office set up in CIFTIS distributed over 8,000 copies of IPR publicity materials, answered 289 person-times of IPR consultations and dealt with 5 complaint and reporting cases, which guaranteed the smooth proceeding of CIFTIS.

Beijing Municipal Intellectual Property Office organized volunteers to join in IPR publicity service. These volunteers handed out and collected 125 copies of questionnaires.
