Jiangsu: Suqian ranked first in increase of patent applications and grants

According to the latest statistics released by the State Intellectual Property Office (SIPO), in the first half of 2012, the amount of patent applications of Suqian City in Jiangsu Province hit 1,903, outnumbering Lianyungang City for the first time and rising by 167.28%; patent grants reached 751 pieces, up 161.67%. The increase of patent applications and grants topped Jiangsu Province in six consecutive months.

It is understood that in recent years, the independent innovative ability of Suqian City was notably raised and IPR protection was gradually reinforced, which was of great significance in driving Suqian to realize sound development.
