Zhongguancun IP Court proposed to be established

Wu Shixiong, Deputy Director of the Standing Committee of Beijing Municipal People's Congress, proposed to set up an IP court in Zhongguancun to strengthen IPR protection.

Wu said this when speaking at 34th conference of the committee to report on an enforcement group's findings on the implementation of the Regulations of Zhongguancun National Demonstration Center for Indigenous Innovation.

In the report, he urged to further enhance IPR protection and called on concerted efforts from IP offices, courts, procuratorates, public security organs, commerce and industry administrators as well as municipal administrative enforcement groups to promote information sharing and joint actions, while also proposing to set up an IP court in Zhongguancun to ensure IPR disputes can be efficiently handled in the region.
