The Shandong provincial government has issued its Outline of Intellectual Property Strategies, aiming to strengthen IP advantages of four major regions including Shandong Peninsula blue economy IPR demonstration area, Yellow River Delta ecological economic intellectual property experimental zone, the IP innovative city clusters  around the capital city of Jinan and the intellectual property active area of Lunan economic zone.

Under the Outline, indigenous innovation in the field of marine biomedicine and marine energy of Shandong Peninsula blue economy IPR demonstration area will be duly enhanced; oil and salt chemical industry chain in the Yellow River Delta ecological economic intellectual property experimental zone will be extended; cultivation of famous trademarks in fields of application software, cloud computing, digital animation and other areas in the IP innovative city clusters around Jinan will be highlighted and industry upgrading and transformation with respect to fine steel, energy and coal chemical industry, high-quality building materials, machinery manufacturing, production and processing of agricultural products, trade and logistics in the intellectual property active area of Lunan economic zone will be boosted.
