Jiangsu: Huai'an issued Opinions on Enhancing Coordination in Combating Intellectual Property Crimes

Recently, seven departments in Huai'an, Jiangsu province, including the municipal intellectual property office and the people's procuratorate jointly issued and implemented Opinions on Enhancing Coordination in Combating Intellectual Property Crimes, which specify the necessity of coordination amongIP administrative enforcement department, the public security office, the people's procuratorate and the people's court in cracking down upon IP violations. The Opinions also stipulate that an IP liaison system, a joint meeting system, a major case consultation system, an information sharing system and a specialized case handling system should be established.

With the release of the Opinions, a special IP office as well as an IP case panel was set up in the city's procuratorate, aiming to strengthen the communication between IP departments in combating IP crimes.
