Hunan subsidized patents winning China Patent Award

In 2012, seven projects with qualified patents recommended by Hunan Intellectual Property Office obtain special subventions, according to information released by Hunan Finance Department and the Provincial Economic and Information Technology Commission.

In 2011, Hunan released two documents on promoting new emerging industries, stipulating that from 2011, Hunan would start to offer one million yuan worth of subvention to invention patents which newly win the Gold Reward of China Patent Award and will be industrialized in the province; invention patents winning the Honorable Prize of the event and to be commercialized in the province will be supported with a half million yuan as subvention, a practice introduced by the province as an important measure to promote the development of new emerging industries, and also as an accelerator to stimulate local enterprises to actively utilize intellectual property mechanisms.
