Beijing concludes 50,443 IPR cases

Heads of Beijing Higher People’s Court and Beijing Municipal People's Procuratorate delivered work reports at the Fourth Plenary Session of the 14th Beijing Municipal People's Congress on January 26.

Chief Justice Chi Qiang said IPR cases in Beijing have increased from 5,240 in 2008 to 14,319 in 2012. The Court has concluded 50,433 cases within five years, accounting for 21% of the total nationwide. Among the top 10 IPR cases issued by the Supreme People’s Court, half are tried by Beijing courts, setting a good international image in IPR protection.
