Fujian: Xiamen creates a data base on IP experts

2013/02/21

Recently, a data base including 217 experts specializing in science and technology, economy, laws and management was established in Xiamen by its local IP authority.

Since October 2012, the authority has begun to select experts in various areas who are familiar with IP regulations and rules and could analyze issues independently and objectively. Candidates are also required to be the backbones in their field or have more than eight years working experiences in patent or other related IP areas.

The first group of those 217 experts came from local universities, research institutions, intermediate agencies, administrative departments and IP demonstration entities, specializing in areas such as mechanics, electrics, communications, medicine, biology, chemistry, optoelectronic technology, materials, finance, laws and management. Their tenure is set to be three years.
