MOFCOM: Strengthened IPR protection enhances service outsourcing

According to the 6th China International Service Outsourcing Cooperation Conference (CISOCC), offshore service outsourcing undertaken by China maintains an annual increase of more than 60% over the past four years, while its share in international market increases year by year. In a bid to further optimize the environment for service outsourcing industry, China will continue to introduce and develop supporting polices, bring into full play the exemplary role of model cites, encourage service outsourcing enterprises to enhance innovation and vitality, establish a talent training system covering the whole industrial chain of service outsourcing and strengthen IPR protection and data and information security, said an official from the Department of Trade in Services of the Ministry of Commerce (MOFCOM).

In 2012, the world market for all offshore service outsourcing was estimated at 121.7 billion US dollars, 33.64 billion of which was created in China, accounting for 27.6%.
