Five Urumqi companies enter 2013 Xinjiang Technological Innovation Enterprises list

The Xinjiang Uygur autonomous region has released its 2013 Technological Innovation Enterprises list detailing corporations in the region with outstanding research and innovation abilities. On Oct 21, five enterprises from the city of Urumqi entered the list, www.xinjiangnet.com.cn reported.


The five enterprises are Xinjiang Machinery Research Institute Co, TBEA SunOasis, Rainbow Hi-Tech Inc of Xinjiang, Xinjiang West-Construction Co and Xinjiang Non-Ferrous Metal Industry (Group). Xinjiang Machinery Research Institute, TBEA SunOasis and Xinjiang West-Construction are publicly listed companies.


The companies have made great achievements in scientific and technological innovation. For example, 65 new products from TBEA SunOasis have completed appraisal processes, 53 of which met international standards by the end of December 2012. The company has 504 domestic patents and five PCT international patents, according to its report.


The Xinjiang government and related departments will offer more support, such as incentives and policies, for its innovative technology enterprises.
