Hubei: IP office to set up exchange


The provincial IP office recently planned to establish a patent exchange center for local colleges to stimulate the technical innovation and promote the commercialization of their patents. Statistics from the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology Development Center showed that Zhejiang University alone had more invention patents in 2012 than the six most-prestigious universities in the provincial capital Wuhan combined. And out of the total invention patents in the six universities, about 30 percent stay inactive.
