Seven people were convicted in the first domestic online piracy case of films and television programs

On the afternoon of May 15, the first domestic online piracy case of digital high definition films and television programs, games and music works----“SILUHD infringement case” was settled in Haidian People’s Court in Beijing. Defendant Zhou Zhiquan convicted of copyright infringement was sentenced to five years’ imprisonment and fined 1 million yuan; Kou Yujie, Su Liyuan and 4 other defendants convicted of copyright infringement were sentenced to one to three years’ imprisonment and fined 20,000 yuan to 250,000 yuan.
