WIPO Director General Francis Gurry Meets with the Delegation Led by He Zhimin

From May 7 to 9, SIPO Deputy Commissioner He Zhimin headed the delegation of the Chinese government to attend the Fifty-Third Series of Meetings of the Assemblies of the Member States of WIPO. It was during this period that Mr. Gurry met the delegation led by He Zhimin.


He Zhimin first passed on SIPO Commissioner Shen Changyu's cordial regards to WIPO Director General Francis Gurry. He highly praised Mr. Gurry's extraordinary feat of leadership in WIPO over the past six years, and congratulated him on his reappointment. He Zhimin said that SIPO would continue strengthening the friendly cooperation with WIPO, and believed that the world's intellectual property system led by Mr. Gurry would achieve greater development.


Mr. Gurry expressed his satisfaction with the fruitful cooperation between the two sides. He stressed that China played a unique role in the world's intellectual property system, and made positive contributions to the sustainable development of the global intellectual property system. He said that he would further promote the close cooperation in intellectual property between WIPO and China.
