Battle for online reading copyright, Qidian sued Zongheng for 3 million yuan

Recently, Shanghai No.2 Intermediate People’s Court made the first-instance judgment regarding the disputes of Shanghai Xuanting Entertainment, Information and Technology Co., Ltd (Xuanting Entertainment Co., Ltd) v. Beijing Huanxiang Zongheng Network Technology Co, Ltd (Beijing Huanxiang Zongheng Co., Ltd) for infringement of information network spreading right. According to the judgment, Beijing Huanxiang Zongheng Co., Ltd should make compensation for the economic losses of 3 million yuan and reasonable expenses of 30,000 yuan.
