Over 210,000 Patents from Taiwan was Applied in Mainland China during the Last Decade

The seventh Cross-Strait Patent Forum was successfully held in Taipei on October 14th 2014. According to the statistics released in the Forum, the cooperation between Mainland China and Taiwan deepened significantly during the last decade. From 2004 to 2013, 217,286 patents from Taiwan were applied in Mainland China, while 8145 Mainland China’s patents were submitted in Taiwan. Besides, since the signing of Cooperation Agreement on Cross-straits Intellectual Property Protection in 2010, there are over 11,000 patent applications from Mainland China claiming priority in Taiwan, and more than 18,000 patent applications from Taiwan claiming priority in Mainland China.
