According to a recently unveiled provincial strategy for the next five years, patent ownership per 10,000 residents in Heilongjiang province is expected to reach 6.7 by 2020, when local companies are forecast to have 120,000 trademarks and technical trade volume of 15.8 billion yuan ($2.5 billion). The strategy, covering many areas of IP, including patents, trademarks, copyright and plant varieties, integrates the national IP strategy and the province's economic plans, officials said.
