VM Cao meets with representatives of countries to UNESCO

On June 4th of 2009, Vice-Minister Cao Jianlin met with representatives to UNESCO from more than 30 countries, including Japan, ROK, Spain, Egypt, Saudi Arabia. They attended the 2nd International Festival of Intangible Cultural Heritage held in Chengdu at the invitation of the Ministry of Culture and Sichuan Provincial People's Government, and visited Chinese government departments related to UNESCO during their stay in China.

Cao expressed welcome to the delegation, introduced China's S&T development, missions and visions of MOST, and the international S&T cooperation. Cao also answered the questions by representatives from Tanzania, Benin and Thailand on China's innovation policies, public-private partnership, China's support to the agriculture of other developing countries, and transnational talent flow.

The representatives believed that China's S&T is witnessing a boom, and are willing to promote S&T exchanges with China.
