Seminar on Infringement of Intellectual Property Rights Online
Discussing Business Solutions between China and Europe
Save the date: June 2nd, 2016, New World Beijing Hotel

The EU Delegation to China and Mongolia and the Ministry ofCommerce of China, with the support of the IP Key Action, are pleased to invite you to ‘save the date’ for a full day event focusing on operational and business solutions to tackle infringement of Intellectual Property Rights on e-commerce, that will take place back-to-back to a closed door meeting between government representatives.
Online counterfeiting is a major issue for both EU and Chinese IPR owners, affecting various industry sectors. Tracking down sources of infringement requires costly and burdensome procedures for Chinese and European companies.
The European Commission and MOFCOM have long called for “reinforced cooperation” as well as committed to jointly work together towards finding sustainable solutions to the problem, discussing enforcement remedies but also supporting business oriented approaches.
TheAssistant Minister of MOFCOM Mr. Tong Daochi andEU Ambassador to China, Mr.Hans DietmarSchweisgut, will be the guests of honor and provide opening remarks.
The day will unfold into parallel break-out sessions, with panelists from leading EU and Chinese industries. A final plenary session will allow participants sharing conclusions and key messages, while the event will be closed by the signature of a “wall of fame” by invited guests.
Four sets of break-out sessions are envisaged:
Module 1: Notice-and-take-down procedures for tackling counterfeits on e-commerce
