The province hopes to house 100 companies with more than 100 patent applications each annually in IP-intensive sectors by 2020, according to a plan recently released by local IP authorities. It will also develop three to five IP-intensive industry clusters and set up a mechanism for fostering such industries, including formulating management methods, establishing statistical approaches and promoting commercialization of research results from companies, parks and research institutes.
