2017/07/26

Based on the copyright information and authorization updates filed by relevant departments, the National Copyright Administration of China (NCAC) published the 6th list of key works requiring necessary measures to be taken against piracy in 2017. Such an initiative is undertaken under the Opinions of NCAC General Office on Strengthening Copyright Control over Works Distributed Online.
Internet service providers (ISP) are required to adopt the following protection measures for the theatrical films included in the list:
ISP directly providing contents cannot provide listed works without authorization;
ISP featuring user-uploaded content should prevent users from uploading listed works; and
ISP providing links in search result, e-commerce platform and APP store are required to deal with take down or unlinking notice filed by right holders of the listed works.
