2017/09/11

The Leisure and Cultural Services Department of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region released its first representative intangible cultural heritage list in mid-August, providing a reference for heritage protection in the region. The list comprises 20 items, half of them ranking among national intangible cultural heritage, including Yueju Opera, an art form performed in Guangdong's dialect, and herbal tea. The other half of the list was selected in February to May from 48 items on Hong Kong's first intangible cultural heritage list announced in 2014, including Hong Kong-style milk tea and outfits.
