Shen Changyu Leads a Delegation to Visit EUIPO

Recently, at the invitation of the European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO), Shen Changyu, Commissioner of the State Intellectual Property Office of China (SIPO) led a delegation to visit Spain, held talks with Antonio Campinos, President of EUIPO, and signed the Memorandum of Understanding on Bilateral Cooperation between the State Intellectual Property Office of the People’s Republic of China and the European Union Intellectual Property Office.
Shen Changyu said as a strategic partner, SIPO attaches great importance to the cooperation with EUIPO. In recent years, the two sides have made progress in cooperation, facilitated more frequent interactions and gained achievements in cooperation fields such as legal policy, data exchange and personnel training. In addition, with the China-EU Cooperation on Intellectual Property and under the ID5, the two offices have kept close communication and coordination.
During the stay in Spain, at the invitation of the University of Alicante, Shen Changyu paid a visit to the university and met with the Vice President Juan Llopis, discussing issues like personnel training and professional education of intellectual property. Later, Shen Changyu visited the SIPO staff studying in Spain.?
