The Copyright Industry Contributes More Than 7% to the National Economic Growth in China

During the 12th Five Year Plan, the copyright industry contributes more than 7% to the national economic growth of China, functioning as a support industry. From the year 2013 to 2016, China’s copyright registration number for works has doubled. In the first half year of 2017, the copyright contribution data to China’s economy released by Chinese Academy of Press and Publication shows that China’s copyright industry had seen an increase of 5 trillion yuan, accounting for 7.3% of the country’s GDP number with a 0.02% elevation.
