China Becomes the Top Nanometer Patent Application Filer

In the past 20 years, China’s nanometer industry have seen 209,344 patent applications for the involved technologies, occupying 45% of the total number in this industry around the whole world. Since 2008, China has become No.1 in the world, surpassing the US in the annual patent application number in this field, with an increasing speed well above the world average level. In 2015, China filed more than 40 thousand patent applications related with the nanometer technology related skills, 4 times as many as the number in 2010. The above data indicates that China’s nanometer technology have begun to take shape of application research and achievements transformation.
