Guidance for Trademark Use and Proof Published by TPTO

Turkey patent and trademark office (TPTO) has published Guidance for Trademark Use and Proof which introduces considering factors when TPTO evaluating trademark use and proof ruled in the 19th item of Industrial Property Law. TPTO aims to make IP law and practice in Turkey consistent with Europe Union and thus case law of EUIPO and Europe courts is also taken into consideration. Guidance states that claims of trademark use and proof put forward by applicants should be clear and accurate without attached conditions.
