Zhejiang Hithink Loses Dispute with Wind to Pay 3.35 Million RMB to End the 5-Year Battle

This case, regarded as the first one in the field of China’s IP over stock, finance and information can date back to 2012 that Zhejiang Hithink Flush Information Network Co., Ltd. (Zhejiang Hithink) was sued by larger rival Wind Information Technology Co., Ltd. (Wind). Wind claimed that Zhejiang Hithink was imitating its product, and that Zhejiang Hithink had to stop using the iFinD software that Wind said was essentially a copy of Wind’s operating software. Finally after 5 years battle, recently the case was sentenced by Shanghai Higher People’s Court that Zhejiang Hithink should pay Wind 3.35 Million Yuan.
