On December 22, Baidu filed a complaint against Wang Jin, the former general manager of Baidu self-driving division, and U.S. Jing Chi Company ran by him to the Beijing Intellectual Property Court on the ground that Wang Jin encroached commercial secrets of Baidu.

Baidu requested the court to make a judgment that the two defendants immediately cease the infringement of Baidu’s commercial secrets, including but not limited to use the commercial secrets to engage in self-driving related businesses that compete with Baidu; that the two defendants jointly compensated for their economic losses and reasonable expenses of 50 million Yuan, while they made public statements to eliminate social impact and bear all the litigation costs.
