China’s Import Expo Intensifies Measures to Protect IPR

The China International Import Expo (CIIE) will be held for the first time this in Shanghai in November, 2018. and will set up a specialized center to deal with disputes concerning intellectual property rights (IPR). The center will provide legal consulting and mediation services for global exhibitors and purchasers. It will clarify IPR obligations in legal documents with exhibitors before the expo, to prevent potential disputes. Products to be displayed in the Expo include intelligent and high-end equipment such as industrial robots and unmanned vehicles as well as garments and daily necessities.
