Liangjiang IP Development on Massive Rise

Patent filings in Chongqing's Liangjiang New Area are surging rapidly, local media reported on May 3. The Liangjiang Intellectual Property (IP) Center received 3,757 patent applications and filed 2,568 patents in 2017. The number of patents owned per 10,000 people reached 12, 4.75 higher than that of Chongqing, a 33 percent boost from last year. As the first national level development area with multiple strategic advantages, Liangjiang New Area has formulated and amended multiple favorable policies to create an innovation-friendly environment. By now, Liangjiang has supported 1,382 IP products and incubated 106 pilot enterprises.
